KBRA Now Included in Freddie Mac Single Family Seller/Servicer Guide

KBRA is pleased to announce that Freddie Mac added KBRA to the list of eligible rating providers effective January 1, 2023. Freddie Mac will now accept an insurer with a minimum KBRA Insurance Financial Strength Rating of BBB.

INSURANCE TIMELINE

2017

The National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) proposed a model act to support state regulation of insurance by promoting competition among rating agencies. KBRA was listed as a “Competent Rating Agency” for purposes of the model act.

2017

The NAIC adopted a recommendation that state regulators may consider KBRA’s insurance financial strength ratings for certified reinsurer purposes.

2018

Included in the Fannie Mae Sellers Guide For Property Writers (BBB Or Better).

2020

KBRA added to the Comdex Calculation and now appears in vital signs for the life market.

2021

KBRA Europe assigns rating to Lloyd’s of London, the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace.

2023

KBRA Now Included in Freddie Mac Single Family Seller/Servicer Guide Insurance Financial Strength: BBB or Better
